Switch On Concert

The most highly-anticipated event of the year in Blackpool, known as the Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On, is scheduled for Friday 4th September 2026 and will run untill Sunday 1st November 2026.

A live concert will be held on the night with a high profile act which will be announced later to entertain the crowds.

The lights of Blackpool Illuminations 2026 will be switched on at 9pm on Friday 4th September 2026 by a celebrity who will be named near the day, as is the tradition, previous famous faces who have switched on Blackpool Illuminations can be found here.

In addition, a live screening zone will be set up on the promenade for those unable to obtain tickets, giving them the opportunity to be part of an exhilarating evening of entertainment and experience the vibrant atmosphere.

Gates will open at 4pm and performances are scheduled to begin around 4.30pm.
